My name is Harriet Applegate, and I love baking and creating beautiful cakes that make people smile. I have made many from stacked wedding cakes to tiny fun cupcakes. My most challenging briefs have been from my sister, who always gives me a totally wacky request every year for her birthday from beer stiens to 3D cheetahs covered in buttercream! I have been doing face-painting for my mum's village

fete and other events for several years, it is always hugely popular with children. I only use snazaroo face-paints as I myself am eczema prone and I have never had a reaction from them.
