Fine Art Restorations Cambridge

Fine Art Restorations Cambridge Hello. My name is Brett Unwin. I have been restoring and conserving oil paintings since 1988 I learned my trade working for Victoria Fine Art in St Albans.

I have been restoring and conserving oil paintings professionally since 1988. I moved to Cambridge in 1996 to do my degree in Art History and English. At this time I started working for Cambridge Fine Art. I still restore the vast majority of their acquisitions.

Even more to come. I love these paintings. I hope they get bought by art loving enthusiasts.

I recently took on this commission from the descendants of this noble character. The portrait of John Heigham of Hunston Hall 1679 -1734, has stayed with the family since it was painted by By Sir Godfrey Kneller 1646 -1723. They acknowledged their gratitude.

Hello Restoration fans. Here's a portrait after Sir Peter Lely, most likely of Nell Gwyn, the long time mistress of Charles II. Painted circa 1680. It took me 2 weeks to clean, fill and re-touch all that missing paint. I'm sure she gave me a wink as I applied the final varnish.
