Fine Art Restorations Cambridge Hello. My name is Brett Unwin. I have been restoring and conserving oil paintings since 1988 I learned my trade working for Victoria Fine Art in St Albans.

I have been restoring and conserving oil paintings professionally since 1988. I moved to Cambridge in 1996 to do my degree in Art History and English. At this time I started working for Cambridge Fine Art. I still restore the vast majority of their acquisitions.

I had to clean this picture first.
Here you can see where the cracks were so deep I had to fill them.
Although there were many cracks (craquelure) all over the painting.
Then, over two or three days I slowly re-touched them.
A very satisfying result.
