Brilliant show by Anathema in the Academy in Dublin last nite.

Alcest from France opened the nite with an hour-long set, playing mostly instrumental songs with some clean and growling vocals along the way. Really enjoyed their set and their heavy riffs with lots of headbanging.

Anathema came onto the stage with San Francisco, before heading into Untouchable, Part 1 and 2. Great start to the set.
Leaving It Behind, Endless Ways and The Optimist followed from the new album. It's amazing how they mix the vocals between all the band members.
Thin Air followed, and I really enjoyed both Lightning Song and Dreaming Light with Lee Douglas singing on both songs. What an great voice.
Universal and Closer finished the main set, leaving the stage on a heavy note.
For the encore, they came back with Distant Satellites and then Springfield from the new album - such a great live tune.
Finishing the nite older tunes Lost Control, Destiny and Fragile Dreams was awesome - a great end to a great nite.

Loved the way that the band interacted with the audience, telling stories and having a laugh along the way.
Picked up a signed copy of the A Sort Of Homecoming cd/dvd at the merch stand, looking forward to checking them out.

Great nite out in Dublin and an amazing band.

Great day at Dublin Comic Con in the Convention Centre.
Got to meet Marina Sirtis from Star Trek The Next Generation. Really nice lady.
Got some pictures with the Direwolfs from Game of Thrones - they didn't bite :-)
Some cool cosplays around on the day too.

Great day at the Heroes and Legends Weekend in the Armagh Planetarium today.
They had some cool props from Dr. Who, including a couple of Daleks.
As part of the cosplays, Bumblebee made an appearance which was very exciting, as well as some Jedis.
Also there were some great displays from Transformers, Marvels, Despicable Me and Star Wars.

It's a really cool venue, i hope to go back for one of their digital shows soon.

Cool day at the MCM Northern Ireland Comic Con in Lisburn today.
Got to meet Sam Jones (Flash Gordon himself!!) and Summer Glau. Both really nice people. They gave great talks too.
Met some really cool people and great cosplays as well.

Great show by Flash Harry in the Garage Theatre in Monaghan tonite. Really cool Queen tribute and excellent musicians.

They started the set with Flash, great opening into We Will Rock You. Some great tunes in the first set like Seven Seas Of Rhye, One Vision and Don't Stop Me Now. Finished the first set with Somebody To Love.

Second set had great rock tunes Tie Your Mother Down, Hammer To Fall, Crazy Like Thing Called Love. Finished the nite strongly with Radio Gaga, I Wanna Break Free and We Are The Champions. Great cover of Feel Like Making Love by Bad Company too.

Great nite :-)
