We’re delighted to welcome Bowburn Primary School to our growing list of ALP Active partner schools.

The school joined the ALP family in September 2025, and we’re excited to share that we will be opening our doors to the community by hosting a February Holiday Club.

🎃 It’s time for some spooktacular half-term fun! 👻

Next week is half term, which means one thing for ALP Active - Holiday Club excitement! 🕸️

We’ll be hosting our popular holiday camp at ALP Active at Hummersknott Academy with plenty of splashing in our newly refurbished pool!
We will also be hosting our brand new Halloween Holiday Camp at Brandon Primary Academy, packed with games, activities, and plenty of spooky surprises! 🧙‍♀️

Join us for a week full of fun, laughter, and Halloween magic

ALP Active has funded a £250,000 transformation of the swimming pool at HummersknottAcademy

This isn’t just an upgrade, it’s an investment back into our community. The pool has been part of Darlington life for decades, and now it’s ready for the next generation of pupils, clubs and families to enjoy.

This is exactly what we’re about: taking what we earn and putting it straight back into the places people use every day.

🏆⚽ The Football Season Has Kicked Off in Style! ⚽🏆

Over the past couple of weeks, ALP Active has proudly hosted hundreds of footballers across our ALP schools, marking the vibrant return of grassroots football! 🙌

The schools featuring in the pictures are HummersknottAcademy, Parkside Academy, Greenfield Academy, Durham Academy, Whitworth Park Academy

We're thrilled to see so many students getting active, building friendships, and developing their skills through football.
