Our concert countdown has officially begun (just 4 days to go!) 🎶

🕊️ Duruflé’s Requiem is a masterpiece of French choral music – serene, spiritual, and deeply human. Composed in 1947, in memory of Duruflé’s beloved father, it blends ancient Gregorian chant with rich harmonies and modal textures.

Unlike the dramatic intensity of other Requiems, Duruflé’s version offers comfort and contemplation…a musical meditation on life, death, and hope.

As founder and musical director of Alina Choir, Hilary brings not only musical brilliance but a spirit of collaboration and warmth, having led, taught or performed with all the choir’s members at various points throughout his career. Thanks to this deep connection, Hilary’s leadership transforms a weekend of rehearsals into a performance of remarkable depth and unity.
