I am just starting my biggest stained glass commission piece to date. It's going to be two leadwork panels to fit the windows below and the learning curve is steep!! Hands up who recognises the location!!!

The design is about halfway there now...
Still to come are the checks and alterations for hinge joints, impossible cuts, the all the colour glass choices, texture choices... that's before I actually start physically making anything!!!

The Friends would like to extend a warm thank you to Pinchbeck Glass Studio for their beautifully crafted glass angel donated to our recent Christmas Fayre raffle. The angel was perfectly suited to the season and very much cherished by the lucky winner.

Your generosity, along with the kindness of many others, helped us raise an amazing £1,000 on the day. These funds will go directly towards purchasing equipment for the hospital’s hard-working nurses and auxiliary staff, and improving comfort for the patients.

Community spirit at its finest - thank you for helping us make a real difference.

It's been a bit of an admin week so sorry for the radio silence...

A new logo has been designed (have a little look at the page header)... a new website with online shop is now under construction and I have nearly finished the last couple of commissions before Christmas!

Plans are in the pipeline for a dedicated warm workspace (rather than shares in the spare bedroom and the dining table) and enough room to do exciting things like hold workshops and a host a weekly glass club.

It's all exciting stuff, watch this space for updates and developments!!

Photo is of the current state of my dining room, which we are trying to decorate in time for Christmas whilst not getting paint on any glass that is on the dining table... roll on the New Year and new space to work in!!

Soooo.... This is the design on the workbench today, I am curious who would like something totally handmade on their tree.

He will be available, on his own, or as an Heirloom giftset of three. Let me know if you want one soon, as glass for this design is limited... I will probably be able to make 10 total, if the Glass God's allow me to!!!

It's that funny time of year when you think... is it too early for Christmas?

In our house the countdown runs like so... Daughter's birthday, Halloween, Fireworks night and then Christmas begins.... so today is no longer too early by our standards!!

As such I have created a beautiful commission as a gift for someone.... no names being mentioned just in case... but if you would like something made for your loved one in time for the big day drop me a message, phone me etc!!

It was an awesome day... still learning hugely!

A few sneaky nights away in Bath with the camper...doesn't mean the glass making has stopped!!

I love the copper foil against the glass, its the first time you sense what the finished piece will look like!

Blue butterfly, taking shape tonight. I will be at Downham Market with Rowantree Range on Saturday, it will be coming with me in its finished State.
