Update re Charity Showcase on 30th November 2025:
I can proudly say that we have raised £1,200 meaning MacMillan and Queenscourt Hospice, Southport, UK have both received £600 each.

If you would like to try something new or get back into tapping then why not join us. We are a friendly group and love to chat over coffee etc after class in the Gradely Bonskers cafe at The Hub !

We now start our new term learning new routines and skills on
Tuesday 6th January, 2026!
We are at The Hub, Community Centre , Greaves Hall Avenue, Banks, Nr Southport, Merseyside, PR8 9BL
Tuesday 10.30am - 11.30am
Also Wednesday 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Classes still only £6
There is also a ballet style exercise class on Tuesday at 9.30am - 10.30am - this term we are concentrating on developing the Bob Fosse style of dance.

Thank you to all those who attended the Charity Showcase yesterday….
you all raised £785.67!! And more money being donated. I will update you all next week with the grand total.
The afternoon of entertainment went brilliantly with the tap dancers, ballet dancers and singers having a wonderful time entertaining a very appreciative and very generous audience . Many thanks once again

We have 2 amazing local singers , Nick Lloyd and Laura Abrams who will also entertain you throughout the afternoon. Refreshments will be sale too. See you soon 💜💚🎩🎶###

Hi everyone
It’s that time again for the dancers to show off their new routines and raise much needed funds for MacMillan and Queenscourt Hospice (Southport).

The Harris TapWorks - Tap Dancing Exercise Classes Charity Showcase will take place at
The Hub (Main hall),
Greaves Hall Avenue, Banks, near Crossens, Southport,
PR9 9BL
Between 2pm - 4pm on Sunday 30th November, 2025.

This will be our 6th fund raising event!

Also performing will be Nick Lloyd, Laura Abrams and Sophie Anna Rimmer singing their favourite songs.
Donations gratefully received on the day and there will be a raffle too.
If you can spare a few hours to help either set up, sell raffle tickets or refreshments please pm me.

Tap Your Troubles Away

Had a great time at The Hub, Community Centre celebrating the Big Lunch Sunday. Many thanks to the organisers who worked so hard to bring a fun time for everyone.

for their open day as part of the Eden Project’s “Big Lunch” Campaign to bring communities together. Hope to see you there.

Tuesdays at 10am - 11am and
Wednesdays at 7pm - 8pm
All welcome - Classes catering for all abilities- beginners through to advanced. Still only £6 per class
We commence on Tuesday 7th January, 2025.

We are a fabulous group of ladies and gents that meet once a week in Southport and our main aim is to enjoy ourselves whilst learning to tap dance and raise money for local charities by putting on a showcase. If you are interested please call Wendy on 07866195317. We meet on Tuesday mornings and Wednesdays evenings at the YMCA, Hoghton Street, £6 per hour.

Following the tragic events in Southport on 29th July, 2024,
Harris TapWorks began a collection to help those affected. I have just forwarded the money collected to the
“justgiving “ page for the Community Foundation for Merseyside in partnership with Sefton Council and to their urgent fundraising appeal for all those affected by the knife attack. This appeal is called “Southport Strong Together.
We raised £248 !
