As part of the UK’s largest music festival, Everywhere at Once, join us this Saturday for a special lunchtime event (12 - 1 PM) with saxophonist Derek Nash.

In conversation with Digby Fairweather, Derek shares The Story So Far – a fascinating look back on his life in jazz. From Jools Holland’s R&B Orchestra to performances alongside legends like Amy Winehouse and Paul McCartney, his career spans decades at the very top of the scene. Expect great stories, insight, and plenty of jazz heritage.

The Jazz Centre UK is proud to be an official venue of the festival representing jazz, celebrating the power of grassroots music spaces across the country.

Join us as we celebrate a landmark moment in our history — the 10th Anniversary of The Jazz Centre UK since its launch as a charitable CIO organisation. And what better way to mark this extraordinary occasion than with a spectacular performance from the magnificent Simon Spillett Big Band!

This special anniversary concert has now completely sold out!

More than just a concert, this is a joyous celebration of a decade of achievement, passion and dedication. It honours not only our first ten years, but also the remarkable community of musicians, volunteers, supporters and audiences whose enthusiasm and commitment have helped shape The Jazz Centre UK into the thriving organisation it is today.

We are especially delighted that one of our earliest Trustees and current Patron, Simon Spillett, will headline this milestone event with his outstanding big band. Their electrifying performance promises to make this a truly unforgettable afternoon and a fitting tribute to ten years of preserving, promoting and celebrating jazz for future generations.
