We're coming back!

Plays for Laughs are presenting Agatha Crusty and the Village Hall Murders by Derek Webb from Tuesday 26th - Saturday 30th October 2021 at The Dixon Studio, Palace Theatre.

There will be evening performances at 8.00 pm and a Saturday matinee at 3.00pm.

Tickets will soon be available from the Southend Theatres web site.

It is with regret that Plays for Laugh have had to cancel their production of Tomb with a View for this year. We hope to produce this play at a later date.

Part of the proceeds goes to our chosen charity - Southend Women's Refuge at Harp

Our production this year is Norman Robbins hilarious comedy-thriller A Tomb with a View - Plays for Laughs was formed by Maggie Hooper and Lynda Belt back in 2012 to perform comedy plays for the enjoyment of audiences at the Dixon Studio, a donation is given to a selected charity each year. Previous years include Essex Air Ambulance as recipients.

Murdered to Death is hilarious and there are 3 more performances to go at the Dixon Studio. The show runs tonight and tomorrow at 7.45 pm and a few tickets have been made available for saturday matinee at 2.30 pm.

A murder takes place at Bagshott House and Inspector Pratt comes to investigate. More shots are fired and confusion reigns. There are suspects aplenty and each one has a motive. Will the crime be solved by Inspector Pratt or the local amateur sleuth - Miss Maple?

Our production this year is Murdered to Death from 2nd - 6th October at Dixon Studio, Palace Theatre.

Performances at 7.45 nightly and matinee on saturday at 2.30pm.
The play is by Peter Gordon and is a spoof on Agatha Christie we will as usual be donating to local charity - this year's charities are Trust Link and Growing Together.
