Who’s still scared? 🫣

Absolutely phenomenal times last night with what might be the most intense set of bands we’ve ever had. Ever wondered what would happen if a band bought a tool kit to a Drop the Ego show? Well now you know!

Huge shout out to Believe in Nothing, Black Groove, Locusts and Honey, Sanatorium for delivering the insane wall of noise. And a massive thanks to The Fickle Pickle for allowing us to bring this chaos to you. I’m not sure Southend will ever recover from that one 😄

We’re back Sept 10th with EarSplit: Issue 02! It’s a fiver, and has the awesome Mishikui, With Teeth, Big in Sheboygan and Mt. Skies on noise duty. See you all then 🫡

Direct London trains. We aim to have live music finished in time for the last train home.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone that came out last night. The Fickle Pickle and all the crew yet again going above and beyond and once again proving they’re the best venue in town. A huge thanks Existentialist UK and Chaos Reigns for stepping in at short notice and delivering absolutely killer sets, Aviira returning all the way from Gloucester to blow us away once again and Sanguine Rose bringing the Southend noise and showing our little town can stand up against the best of them! It was a good one eh?

We’re back in just 2 weeks time (Aug 14th) at the Pickle with sludgy goodness in the form of Believe in Nothing, Black Groove, Locusts and Honey and Sanatorium. See you all then 💪

We’re back in collaboration with The Fickle Pickle with EAR SPLIT: Issue #02, Thursday September 10th.

Expect sweet, delicious noise from London emo-grunge darlings Mishikui (who played our first show at the Pickle back in Jan 2025 and instantly became a DTE fav!), Norwich post-hardcore punk duo With Teeth, Essex math-rockers Big In Sheboygan and Southend emo trio Mt. Skies.
