What a fantastic day at City Day! 🎉

Our brilliant singers from the Southend Boys and Girls Choirs loved performing yesterday and being part of such a wonderful celebration of all the organisations and groups that make our city so special. 🎶

Thank you to everyone who stopped to listen, support, and visit our stall to find out more about the choir – it was lovely to meet so many of you!

We are so proud of our young performers for representing the choir so beautifully. ✨

We’re taking part in Southend City Day! 🎉

The Southend Boys and Girls Choirs are so excited to be performing as part of this fantastic celebration of all the amazing organisations and clubs that make our city so special. 🎶

We’ll also have a stall on the day, so if your child loves to sing (or you’d like to find out more about joining us), come and say hello – we’d love to chat and share what we’re all about! ✨

We were honoured to once again take part in Southend Council’s Holocaust Memorial Service.

It was a deeply moving occasion and a powerful reminder of the importance of remembrance — and of ensuring that the stories of those who suffered are never forgotten.

We were deeply moved by the words of today’s speaker, Marta Josephs, who spoke with great strength and clarity as she shared her family’s story, including that of her father, Andrew Frankel, a Hungarian Jew and survivor of both Mauthausen and Gunskirchen concentration camps.

This year’s theme, Bridging Generations, was reflected beautifully in the piece we were privileged to perform, Bridging Generations, with lyrics written by Marta Josephs and her sister, Agi Gilbert.

We look forward to seeing all our singers back this week, after a very busy Christmas period. We welcome new singers this term to join the choirs. There are no joining or weekly fees. Here are just a few pics of what we’ve been doing over the last few months.

Yesterday was our busiest day with carol singing at both and . The singers performed amazingly, as always, a fitting end to our Choir Christmas season. We hope to see many of you in the new year, either in the choirs or in the audience.
