We've left you without an answer for too long! If you've looked at our posts of the week, you would have worked out by now that our Joseph was number 4!

Still living on the high of this fantastic week but, as we come to the end of the holidays, we start to get our heads back into weekly rehearsals. Keep your eyes open for more information about the upcoming term!

Our choirs have had the busiest (and best) summer - tours, musicals, socials and more!

We’re so excited to start a new season together in September and we want YOU to be a part of it too!

Southend Girls' Choir - starts again on Wednesday 9th September at Southend High School for Girls 4:30-5:45

Southend Boys' Choir - starts again on Friday 18th September at Westcliff High School for Boys. 4:00-5:00 for younger voices and 5:00-5:30 for broken voices.

The boys rehearsal starts a week later than it says on the post above due to a concert that we are taking part in - check the website for more information!

We are incredibly saddened to hear of the recent passing of Jan Walker.

Jan was a dear friend and supporter of the Southend Choirs for many years. Her wonderful West Leigh Boys’ Choir joined the Southend Boys’ Choir for many performances, and Jan was the much-loved leader of the Step Up Choir, as well as a wonderful supporter of so many of our concerts and events.

Jan will be greatly missed by the Southend Choirs and by the many people, young and old, whose lives she touched through her love of music and singing.

Our thoughts are with Jan’s family, friends and all those who knew and loved her. ❤️

What a week it has been, filled with so much talent, energy and enthusiasm! 🌟

Today, we put the finishing touches to our final rehearsals before performing our Musical Medley Showcase to family and friends. It was a warm evening, but our children certainly raised the roof! 🎤👏

The acting was fantastic, the singing was sublime and the dancing showed just how hard everyone has worked throughout the week. We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you! ❤️

And, of course, the show had to finish with a little surprise for all our children! 😉🎉

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this week such a success, especially Zoe and Hannah for teaching the children and directing tonight’s show. 🎭

And a special thank you to all the parents for bringing your children along and supporting them with learning lines, songs and dance moves throughout the week. Your support has been amazing! ❤️

Well done, everyone — what a way to finish our Musical Medley Week! 🌟🎶
