Making my first multiblock linocut. Many mistakes/learning opportunities! it's hard to produce an edition of similar enough prints when still at the experimental stage. so many variables. Anyway, I thought I would put up some of the process and result.

Still inspired by the sea and watery things. It was lovely to have coffee at the seafront today. I’m doing some printing and planning this koi design, but which method to use? Also it’s time to paint another wave.

Nearly done. So big! It helps to see from a distance and reversed in the mirror.

I started this yesterday, just covering the board. It’s taken a while to to get on with what I always wanted to do, painting large seascapes. When you’re born and grow up near the sea, I think you always have some seawater in your blood.

It is the hardest thing to sign off a painting, but I'm calling this one done. It was a very cold February day and the sun was gone. The next one is going to be sunnier I think.

working out some tiny compositions in charcoal and chose one to paint but still only 10 inches square. I liked the process though and it's good preparation for going bigger.
