So yesterday was the closing party and auction of the portrait artist of the year southend. All the work had been on show for the last week. A good turn out with money being raised for charity.

Yesterday was Southend’s portrait artist of the year competition.
A big thank you to all, to Andy and the ladies for organising it and the venue Twenty One, southend seafront. It was great to meet the other artist and our sitter Ross.
After the nerves settled down, i really got into my drawing and enjoyed the experience. Its amazing how you can actually get into the zone and forget about where you are as you’re so focused on what you are doing.
Well done to Victoria our heat winner, amazing oil painting of Ross.
Thank you to all who came and supported us, local artists and businesses.

Hi all,
thought i would let you know that i have gotten into .. southend portrait artist of the year! My heat is May 7th, at ..Twenty One .. on the seafront. Its open to the public and we start drawing from 11am. Its all very exciting and scary at the same time, but im looking forward to it. 😄✍️
