We run weekly sessions where young people can build confidence, develop acting skills, and have fun through creative performance. Platform Theatre Arts is all about creativity, communication and community. Platform Theatre Arts is not just about youth theatre provision. We also offer a theatre company in training program, Platform Company, for performers over the age of 18, focusing on developing
and deepening skills in a range of theatrical styles and mediums with regular public performances in both traditional and non-traditional theatrical spaces. Indeed, we want our youth theatre programs to be as much about performance as development and want our young people to feel part of one big company of young performers, with opportunities to showcase both their individual group work and to work as part of a whole youth theatre team. We are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with other community and creative arts groups and professionals to connect the work we produce with the wider community. We offer the opportunity for our youth theatre assistants to gain training and experience to become facilitators in their own right and so as we grow, our team grows with us.
