Today I changed my logo and re-branded, and I am thrilled to say that it’s because I was awarded the title of miniature artisan this year by IGMA (The international Guild of Miniature Artisans) International Guild of Miniature Artisans As you all know my photography skills are not the best, but I tried to take pictures of my hand built ceramics so you could see what I submitted. I do not make ceramics on a pottery wheel, but have been learning for a long long time how to do miniature hand building, or what is sometimes known as slab building. In real life pottery slab building is a completely different technique to wheel thrown pottery and as such brings its own extremely challenging issues to the design table, but in 1:12th you can probably imagine it becomes a whole different conundrum. I have many ideas in mind for what I would like to make going forward, and hope to bring some beautiful new designs to the miniature world very soon 😊
