I set this page up a few years ago to promote gigs happening at All Saints Church...
We no longer do these events.. But Facebook won't allow me to take down the page.. All Saints Events has now become Fawley Show Events.. Promoting Fawley Show (and Fawley Armed Forces Day)..

We are putting on gigs in local venues.. THE TRAVELLERS REST.. Fawley Royal British Legion.. The Old Mill.. The Vibrant Brewery..

Please look out for our gigs..

Same quality of music.. Different locations

Kind regards

Meet Pilot Officer Martyn King of 249 Squadron.. On the 16th August 1940 flying as one of the Wingmen of Flt lt Nicholson (in the action that one Nicholson the Victoria Cross). King's Hurricane got hit from the same group of enemy fighters as Flt lt Nicholson.. After bailing out of his aircraft, as he approached the ground a group of LDV and Royal Artillery personnel opened up with small arms fire thinking he was a German paratrooper.. His parachute collapsed and he fell onto the roof of 30 Clifton Road Shirley, Southampton and he fell onto the lawn where he died in the arms of Mr Fred Poole (owner of the house).
In the last few years research has found that his was the youngest pilot to with Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain..
In 2019 the Commonwealth War Graves Commission changed his headstone to include his real age.
On the 16th August 2022 we holding a Memorial service for him at All Saints Church in Fawley.. From 13.00 ( the flight was scrambled from Boscombe Down at 13.05)
The service is open to anyone who would like to show their respects to this brave young man..
