Meet the teachers, Sonny and Nino 🌟🌟🌟 They will be teaching an advanced kizomba workshop on Friday 7th July at TLC Kizomba 😊 The biggest kizomba event in the South Coast!

NINO : SEMBA
This delightful Frenchman from Brussels, and currently based in Birmingham, is enjoying a meteoric rise in the UK Kizomba scene since he and his dance partner won the UK Kizomba championship in 2013 and then went on to represent the UK in the Open Spain Competition in Madrid (Spain). He also represented England at Africadancar 2014. In 2015 with his dance partner Manuela, they went through to the last stage at Lisbon and finished in the top 10 in the final at Africadancar.

Nino has always been very popular as a Kizomba dancer because of his distinctive, effortless, smooth and truly yummy style of Kizomba that has ladies practically lining up for the experience of dancing with him. Nino is not only a experienced kizomba dancer but also a brilliant Semba dancer.

He runs his own dance school Kiz'xpression in Birmingham, where you can enjoy Semba and kizomba in a very friendly enviroment.

SONNY
She is the UK Kizomba Champion 2015/16, and 3 rd World Kizomba Champions at Africadancar 2015 international Kizomba competition with her partner.

Sonny is a Kizomba teacher, dancer & performer. French born originally from Cape Verde, grew up dancing Passada, Funana, Kuduro, Mazurka, Coupe Decale and Ndombolo. Kizomba is one of the most popular genres of dance and music originating in Angola. Her reasons for teaching Kizomba include “ the passion of the dance, the feeling, the connection, the emotion and how that brings people together in a fun filled environment” Her philosophy about Kizomba : "Kizomba is like having a conversation with two connected bodies,he communicates the movements, she listens and replies"

She has discovered Urban Kiz over 3 years ago, She loves any type of dances that allow an artist to grow and be creative. Urban Kiz has a different sytle and allow creativity to flow. She has been helping/assistant French teachers coming to the UK for over the last 6 months.

Sonny is also director of SVPromotions an event company, that brings to you (Kizomba, Semba, Urban Kiz, Afro beats/ house and more) events, parties, classes, workshop with international & UK artists. www.svpromotions.co.uk
