Mountwood Pottery

Mountwood pottery is a teaching pottery. It doesn't have a shop on site and I am not necessarily the I teach wheel-thrown pottery; lessons are £12.50 per hour.

I charge a small amount for glazing and firing your pots. (about £1.50 mug-sized pot). I also offer "make your own bonsaipot" sessions (£55.00-£65.00, 2-3hrs) depending on shape/size.

Yes!! I made it back into the pottery and I am sitting comfortably behind my wheel! This is exactly one week after the operation. Looks like I might do some throwing soon.

Only ten days until Hampshire Open Studios and I am busy tidying and setting up while firing the last kilns. The pattern on these new pots originates in the grape vine that grows against the pottery. Please come and have a look: the studio is open every day during Hampshire Open Studios (17th-26th Aug) from 10am until 5pm

Mountwood pottery (Biddenfield Lane, Shedfield, HANTS, SO32 2HP) is all set up and ready to open its doors (10:00-16:00) this weekend. Please come and have a look and get some present ideas. There will be something for anyone: if not pottery, then perhaps jewellery, knitwear, felted or stoneware pictures, craft tools or books or just plain luscious wool for knitting, felting, dyeing, rug-making or spinning!
