For the first time ever, I've taken the leap and applied for an arts grant.
If you'd told me a few years ago I'd be sitting down to write a funding application, I'd probably have laughed. But after years of creating, exhibiting, organising events and trying to carve out opportunities not just for myself but for other artists, it feels like the right time.
This application isn't just about making more work. It's about developing my practice as an artist, refining my skills, exploring new opportunities, and building on everything I've learned so far.
It's also about continuing to grow the vision behind Raw Wall Collective. A future where we can keep creating exciting exhibitions, Artists Showdown events, support charitable causes, offer workshops, and one day hopefully establish a permanent creative space that champions artists and brings people together through art.
Nothing is guaranteed, but I'm incredibly proud of myself for putting my name forward and taking a chance.
So, if you've ever supported my work, attended an exhibition, shared a post, bought a piece, cheered me on from the sidelines, or simply believed in what I'm trying to build... thank you. It genuinely means the world.
Now, all that's left to do is keep everything crossed and hope for the best. 🤞🎨🖤
