A Society with all the Drama you’d Expect

Whether you’re a professional thespian or just want to express yourself for the first time, Solent Drama and Performance is for anyone with an interest in theatre! We aim to put on 3 full productions a year, showcasing our talent across the performance spectrum. With 1 show occurring in the Winter term, and 2 across Spring and Summer time. For them, we will need: actors, singers, dancers, directors, producers, writers, marketers, stage managers, technicians for audio, lighting, props, costume, make-up, filming… to name but a few. (phew!). You can always help in some way. Thanks to our tiered membership system, you can tailor the role and commitment level you are able to contribute.

Rehearsals are normally held every Tuesday and Friday at 6pm in JM315. We use this auditorium space to host the final product, with up to 120 seat capacity and professional theatrical lighting and audio equipment on hand throughout. We audition for all parts and roles in our performances in a fun, social environment. As our musical and showcase performances have multiple group numbers in, we are able to guarantee each auditionee will be included.
