Join in with a daily schedule of hands-on activities which includes bottle-feeding the kid goats and calves, and holding fluffy chicks. As well as regular activities there are lots of friendly animals to meet including donkeys, alpacas, cute chicks, Pygmy goats, Kunekune pigs, cows and many more. Explore in and around the farmyard buildings, there’s so much to see and do. Don’t miss the brilliantly bumpy tractor and trailer ride, which is free of charge (ground conditions permitting).

It'll be frightfully good fun at the farm this Halloween half-term. Enter the Haunted Barn at your peril from Sat 24th Oct to Sun 1st Nov for a howlingly good time. Magical enchantment with the Glass Slipper princess - Wed 28th Oct, Scream with laughter Thurs 29th Oct with Crazy M, and encounter real-life creepy creatures with the Creature Teachers Sat 31st Oct. After all the scary stuff, calm down with the friendly farm animals who will be waiting to be fed.

Have you seen our farm cats roaming around the farm?

Their names are Pumpkin (black) & Percy (tabby)

🎃Staff members found Pumpkin & Percy around Halloween 2021 after hearing meowing coming from one of our barns.

You’ll often find them wandering around the main yard & barn.

Goats love to climb, it’s a natural instinct from when they live in the mountains they need to get out of reach of any predators.
At Longdown we have to watch they do not clamber over the fences, we have built them a mountain of disused tyres covered with Astroturf.
