Made these lovely 'shellwork' items on a workshop with the lovely Hilary Moore - www.moore-inspiration.co.uk - I shall certainly be incorporating some shellwork into future art projects as it was so enjoyable.
The little box will be going to my grandaughter for her to keep any 'trinkets' in!

Something different from me 'artwise' the leaves are have been formed with artists paste and then painted over. All slightly more abstract then my usual work but enjoyed doing it a great deal.

Southampton Art Societies Spring exhibition starts next Friday the 8th March at Itchen Valley Country Park in the lovely restaurant building. We will have up to 20 wonderful members pictures on show - some for sale. The exhibition goes on to 10th May so you have plenty of time to go and have a look and to support us all.

On Sunday the 2nd July I will be at the Bedford Place Summer Festival with the Southampton Art Society as we have taken a stall at this event. The day is free and runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm and there will be lots of local and independent traders, street food, drinks and family entertainment. As well as having some of my own work for sale the Society will be displaying and selling artwork from lots of other members of the society and doing some interactive demonstrations. A percentage of items sold will go towards keeping the society going. Please come and support us and if you are interested in art then we shall have information about the society.

A very unusual bit of artwork from me!! Completed at this month's meet with Southampton Art Society with the amazing Nicky Barfoot talking and demonstrating. It was a mixture of collage, abstract, ripping things up and glueing them back together differently! Great fun - took us all back to Blue Peter!!
