🎶 City of Southampton Orchestra 🎶
🎤 1 Week To Go 🎤

Do you want to get your child interested in classical music? Would you like to see a local orchestra perform some ghoultastic music? Then come along to the City of Southampton Orchestra’s Spooktacular Family Concert on 17th October at Central Hall!

We will be performing music from: Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Wicked and other classical film pieces performed alongside the New Forest School of Dance.

We also have our storyteller extraordinaire, Phil Cheesman, to bring the story to life. Accompanied by the orchestra, this is going to be a spine-chilling performance!

As these performances are aimed at children of ALL ages (even the big ones!) and their families, we are not expecting them to stay still or be quiet. In fact, there will be a chance to join in, to get up and move around, ask some questions to the conductor and the orchestra as well as submitting a drawing to be shown on our big screen!

😂❗Aurie Styla: Maverick Tour❗

Aurie Styla is one of the most naturally charismatic and hilarious comedians around. Following his acclaimed 100+ date worldwide tour, he’s back on the road with his brand new show ‘MAVERICK’.

‘MAVERICK’ looks at life from the end of ‘The Aurator’ Tour onwards, and although everything seems nice and ‘cushty’, something is throwing off the scales of wins and fails. The show hilariously explores his bad work-life balance, family influence, relationships, health and more.

Aurie has appeared on 'Richard Osman's House Of Games' (BBC), ‘Comedy Central Live’, ‘Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club’ (ITV), ‘Don’t Hate The Playaz’ (ITV), multiple seasons of ‘The Stand-Up Sketch Show’ (ITV2), and many more shows. He’s the host of his very popular BBC Radio 4 show ‘Tech Talk’ which is returning for a second series. In 2025 he was selected as a New Face Of Comedy at the prestigious Just For Laughs Montreal festival, and in 2026 will debut at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in Los Angeles.

😂❗Scott Bennett: Stuff tour❗😂

As a society we love stuff, it’s a statement about who we are and who we want to be. But apparently, this message is at odds with the looming environmental crisis. We’re now struggling to balance these worlds, to focus on the things that bring us real connections and nourish the soul. Award-winning Comedian and Award-winning Product Designer, Scott Bennett is desperately trying to cleanse his life of stuff, but is this even possible anymore?

Tour support for Mickey Flanagan, Rob Brydon Jason Manford, and John Bishop. The star of Live at the Apollo, The News Quiz, The Now Show, The Ultimate Choice and Chortle Best Club Comedian Nominee 2022.

“Without doubt live comedy’s best kept secret” Evening Standard
"Great material, great delivery, a very funny man" Rob Brydon
"Brilliantly funny, a joy to watch" Chris Ramsey
“Bennett is a stand-up in fine control of his material, his delivery and his image, a masterclass in adding a frisson of ‘in the moment’ unpredictability to otherwise tightly written routines” **** Chortle
