The last of our Southam section of the open studios event is the three venues put on by Southam First.
Southam Art @ St James.
Located at beautiful St James church, on Park lane in Southam town centre. creative artists and crafters from Southam are exhibiting together within this amazing building. Exhibits at St James include Glass arts, multi-medium artists, photography and book art.
Open to Visitors all 3 weeks of the open studios event from June 20th to July 5th Saturdays 10am-4pm, Sun 2pm-4pm and Fri 10am-4pm. There will be artists offering talks, workshops and demonstrations and refreshments available at the cafe facility in the church.

Second is Art @ Tithe Place. Located at Tithe Place on High street in Southam town centre. Part of the multi-location Southam town centre venues, creative artists and crafters from Southam are exhibiting together within the Tithe Place Community rooms and library. Exhibits at Tithe Place include jewellery, illustrators, glass art and traditional paintings. All generously hosted by Southam Heritage Collection - Cardall Collection
Open to Visitors all 3 weeks of the open studios event (20th June -5th July)
Saturdays 10-4pm and Sundays 2-4pm and Tuesday, Thursdays and Friday 10-12pm.
There will be artists offering talks and refreshments available at the cafe

3rd is Art @ Wood st. Located at Southam & Bishops Itchington Congregational Church on Wood Street in Southam town centre.
Creative artists and crafters from Southam are exhibiting together within this amazing building. Exhibits at wood st include craft working, artists and woodworking.
Open to Visitors on the last weekend of the open studios event Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th 10-4pm and Sunday 5th, 1-4pm (July). There will be artists offering talks and refreshments available at the cafe facility in the church.

The next 3 locations on the Southam Art Trail:

SĂ’LAS Home. Located at 37a Coventry street in Southam town centre (Behind clippers salon and next to the bowling green pub). Solas is a shop offering various local artists to display and market their work.
Open to Visitors all 3 weeks of the open studios event Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday , Thursdays and Friday all 10-4pm. There will be artists work in a huge variety of mediums and styles throughout the venue.

Puddleduck Café & Gallery is found at Holt Farm on Holt road just the outskirts of Napton just a short hop east of Southam town. Visit the gallery and cafe to see lots of work from the various local artists they feature and enjoy the amazing and beautiful location, art, refreshments and cakes in a dog (and duck) friendly environment - what more could you ask for.
Open to Visitors during the 3 weekends of the open studios event Fri/sat/sunday 11-5pm

Priors art collective in Priors Marston is a joint exhibition from artists Sarah Bunney and Deborah Mercer. Both artists are displaying their works showcasing their painting and plein air sketching. Refreshments will be served in their pretty garden. The studio is open 11-4pm Sat/sun/Monday for the three weekends of the event.

The countdown is officially on! In just 14 days, the Southam Arts Trail segment of Warwickshire Open Studios event will open its doors, giving you the chance to step inside artists’ studios, discover original artwork, meet local creatives, and experience the incredible talent right here in our community.

From painting and illustration to ceramics, textiles, photography and more, there’s something to inspire art lovers of all ages. Whether you’re a collector, a creative, or simply looking for a fantastic day out in Warwickshire, the Southam Arts Trail is the perfect opportunity to explore, connect and be inspired.

The next three venues in the local area for open studios are raring to go.

Pig cores barn in priors marston is hosting artists Deborah Dutton and Alice cheng. Deborah’s paintings reflect line drawings of plants created “Jackson po***ck style”
seat coverings & deckchair slings have,torn & frayed edge & home dyed colours.
Glass is Alice’s chosen medium of artistic expression. Her passion for the art of glass has remained undiminished, with a particular focus on glassblowing & lampworking.
A rural setting but only five minutes from Southam by car. Warm welcome of course.

One of the venues on the Southam Art Trail is RBL Galanos House, Community Hub & Café located on Banbury Rd on the outskirts of Southam town centre. Visit the exhibition of work from the Galanos House residents who love to be creative. Supported by activities assistants & volunteers they are able to create fantastic works of art. They enjoy their regular art group and photography club sessions.
Artist Claire Fell will also be displaying her beautiful art work alongside the residents work.
Open to Visitors during the last weekend of the open studios event.

Graham Olver is opening his studio at Priors Hardwick.
Project 64 at the Pottery comprises a daily selection from a 64 piece retrospective portfolio, with new works, and works in different stages of development.
The works are emotionally vibrant and broadly fit into three categories

The first venues on the Southam art trail are Dassett Pottery Clay Club, Light by Night Photography, Rani Rai and Art@ the sheep dip.

Dasset Pottery is located on high street in Fenny Compton.
The pottery is home to Dassett Pottery Clay Club and is a modern adult teaching studio that offers workshops, tasters and family sessions.

Light by night photography in ufton is an amazing gallery showcasing the brilliance of astrophotography. Set in a beautiful location it will again offer popular cream teas.

Rani Rai is a full time artist who works predominantly in acrylics. Exploring colour and texture and turning reality into the abstract. Also with an interest in the different printing processes which they are currently exploring.

Artists at the Sheep Dip in Harbury is located at Church House, Crown Street in Harbury
Artist at the Sheep Dip is featuring 4 artists: Dee Luntley Kate Larkin-Wong David Shepherdson and Nicky L Art and will showcase a variety of work from linocuts, textiles to paintings and unique pens.
Open to Visitors during all 3 weekends of the open studios event.

🎨✨ We’re thrilled to announce that the Southam Art Trail is officially launching on June 20th as part of this year’s Warwickshire Open Studios! 🌿🖌️ This vibrant, self-guided trail will lead you through 13 inspiring venues across Southam, Fenny Compton, Ufton, Harbury Priors hardwick, Priors Marston, and Napton — each bursting with colour, creativity, and the unique work of our talented local artists.

📍Trail maps and brochures are now available! Whether you’re a seasoned art lover or just curious to explore something new, the Southam Art Trail offers a rich mix of painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, and more. Grab a map, gather some friends, and make a day (or three!) of discovering the creative magic happening right on your doorstep.
