See Tyne and Wear Differently I created See Tyne and Wear Differently for a number of reasons not least of which is my passion for the area in which we live.

I spent my working life in South Shields and since taking early retirement in May 2013 I have more time to support my passions in life.

1) Photography
2) support the local area helping ( where I can ) to improve South Tyneside as a place to live and work
3) To work as a trustee of Groundwork ( changing lives -changing places)
4) To improve environmental awareness in the borough. I hope you enjoy

Nikon P1100: The fact that this photograph is taken with just a consumer camera ( no telesope etc ) amazes me. Sometimes the turbulent atmosphere stays still for just that fraction of a second to get a sharp image with a single exposure.

This picture of a Sand Martin in flight required all of these attributes ......and lots of attempts. My best Sand Martin in flight image by a big margin.
