Future Collaborations

Future Collaborations Award-winning music programmes & festival in South/North Shields, Newcastle & Sunderland .

In partnership with AutismAble CIC, Youth Music and Arts Council England. Introducing the Future Collaborations Festival: an annual event weaving together the extraordinary talents of neurodivergent and neurotypical musicians. Born from a vision of inclusivity and collaboration, this festival invites you to celebrate diversity in music. Future Collaborations will debut at the Cluny 2, an intimate

and atmospheric venue nestled in the heart of Newcastle, on Saturday, August 26th. Backed by the support of Youth Music Charity and AutismAble, our festival serves as more than just an exhibition of amazing music. It's a platform designed to bridge the gap between neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals, raising awareness and understanding through the universal language of music. The festival embodies a grander purpose, providing meaningful work experience to neurodivergent youth. Festival attendees will not only enjoy the musical creations of our diverse lineup, but they'll witness the dedicated work of young individuals mastering a wide range of skills. From set-up to clean-up, artist liaison to stage management, ticketing to marketing, our festival offers hands-on learning opportunities in all facets of event production. These budding professionals will also take on accessibility audits, safety planning, first aid station management, photography, videography, and event stewardship, offering them a rich selection of work experience and potential career paths. Join us at the Future Collaborations Festival for a unique celebration of music, inclusion, and the potential that lies within us all.

A huge thank you to and The North East Music Hub for supporting our Future Collaborations music programme.

Our participants are having a brilliant time making music with the Oddballs and DJ controllers kindly loaned to us.

We’re looking forward to sharing more of their compositions as the course progresses!

The countdown to Marapolooza Festival is on! 🎶

This year we’re teaming up with once again to curate the Mary Greaves Stage at , hosted by our very own Adam Cowley — a celebration of neurodiversity and inclusion.

The stage takes its name from Mary Greaves, a pioneering disability rights campaigner whose life and activism continue to inspire and educate.

On Saturday 6th June, the stage comes to life with performances from , , , and .i.n.r.i.b.s.

If you’re planning to join us, grabbing your ticket early through helps us plan a better day for everyone (and it’s a bit kinder on your wallet too).
