Well now that summers nearly over, we can look forward to wind, rain, floods and tempest, and of course the regular Acoustic Night at the David Hall in South Petherton.
The next one is on Sunday 23rd August at 7.30. All performance slots are now booked, but we can still squeeze in a few more audience members at this increasingly popular event. Soors open 7.00pm if you want to bag a front row seat!
As always there will be an eclectic mix of styles, so there will be something to suit all tastes!

What no football, no Wimbledon! Never mind, this Sunday 26th July, it’s the monthly Acoustic night at the David Hall in South Petherton. There will be a bar, a sound desk, lighting, a great MC, good company, an appreciative audience, a few bad jokes, and some really talented musicians. Doors open at 7.00 for 7.30. All performance slots are booked, but we can still squeeze in a few more audience members (minimum donation £2 and £1 for performers).

Sunday 31st May is the next Acoustic Night at the David Hall in South Petherton.
There will be the usual eclectic and almost exciting mix of styles from talented local musicians. And there are several new acts coming this month, including, Easy Street who play country and Rock and Roll, The Rhythm Ju**ie, Nick and Richard – folk Jazz and blues. Plus poetry, awful jokes, possibly some good jokes, and definitely no grumpy old men. Slots must be pre-booked and at the time of posting there is only one left – email [email protected] and you might be in time to grab it.
And if you just want a good night out for a donation (at least £2) you are very welcome. We also ask performers to chip in to cover the costs of running the event.

DH March

When March finally disappears, and we've moved the clocks forward and lurched into summertime, we will celebrate with another fabulous acoustic night at the David Hall in South Petherton – 7.00 for 7.30 on Sunday March 29th .
Oh there will be such a variety of folk, blues, comedy, bad jakes, hilarious jokes, jazz and razamataz, and a women’s choir singing songs to raise the roof and uplift your spirits.
All performance slots are booked for this month, but there’ll be plenty of room for our lovely audience. As always there’ll be a bar, sound engineer, lighting, laughter and good company.

Sunday 22nd February is the date of the next acoustic night at the David hall in South Petherton. There are performance slots available, so if you want to book your fifteen minutes to entertain a great audience with jokes, stories, comedy, magic, renditions of Shakespeare plays, or simply two or three songs, then email [email protected] to book your slot.
If you want to come along as audience, you are very welcome – generous donations please. It’s a great night out, and a great opportunity to see the next big act before they become famous!
The venue is not currently accessible by canoe or boat, but may be soon. If all else fails, there is a car park nearby!
Doors open at 7.00pm and it all kicks off at 7.30
It’s all run on a voluntary basis, and we do ask performers to chip in a quid towards heating and lighting.
