When March finally disappears, and we've moved the clocks forward and lurched into summertime, we will celebrate with another fabulous acoustic night at the David Hall in South Petherton – 7.00 for 7.30 on Sunday March 29th .
Oh there will be such a variety of folk, blues, comedy, bad jakes, hilarious jokes, jazz and razamataz, and a women’s choir singing songs to raise the roof and uplift your spirits.
All performance slots are booked for this month, but there’ll be plenty of room for our lovely audience. As always there’ll be a bar, sound engineer, lighting, laughter and good company.

Sunday 22nd February is the date of the next acoustic night at the David hall in South Petherton. There are performance slots available, so if you want to book your fifteen minutes to entertain a great audience with jokes, stories, comedy, magic, renditions of Shakespeare plays, or simply two or three songs, then email [email protected] to book your slot.
If you want to come along as audience, you are very welcome – generous donations please. It’s a great night out, and a great opportunity to see the next big act before they become famous!
The venue is not currently accessible by canoe or boat, but may be soon. If all else fails, there is a car park nearby!
Doors open at 7.00pm and it all kicks off at 7.30
It’s all run on a voluntary basis, and we do ask performers to chip in a quid towards heating and lighting.

Not long to go now before the next evening of thrills, excitement, good music, and bad jokes at the David Hall Acoustic Night in South Petherton. It’s on Sunday 25th January at 7.30. As always, there will be lights, a PA, an MC, and a bar, plus a great friendly audience. Performance slots are 15 minutes and must be pre-booked; email [email protected] to book in if you want one. But hurry, there really are only a few slots left.
We are welcoming a few new acts this month, including Libby Bray, Gilly Saunders, (so it won’t be just guys with guitars!), Steve Davies, and a few more exceptionally talented performers. There will be soulful ballads, happy songs, miserable songs, funny songs, who-knows-what songs, poetry, and whatever else you bring along.
Promises to be a good night!

Just over a month to go before a semblance of sanity returns, but in the meantime the big event of December is of course Acoustic Night at the David Hall in South Petherton on SATURDAY 13th December at 7.30. We’re open as always to all types of entertainment, although it’s mainly music, so if you want to have your fifteen minutes to show the world what you can do, email [email protected] to book a slot. Don’t forget to tell your friends, and bring you fan club along with you!
Audience members are particularly welcome – for a donation of a few quid you can have a few hours to escape Christmas, enjoy some good music, laugh at your mates, make new friends, and enjoy the finest night out you are likely to have all year.

It’s time to think about what you are going to play at the next acoustic night at the David hall in South Petherton which is on Sunday 23rd November. There are a few slots left- email [email protected] if you want to perform. As usual anything goes from blues to burlesque, so feel free to express yourself!
The more the merrier, so if you want to escape the Christmas adverts on TV and hear some good music instead, just come along, and do bring your friends. Admission is by donation.
This month features Plum Loco - Lisa who plays and sings her original, genre-fluid songs which Nick punctuates with tasteful snare and percussions; and a five piece band called ‘Under New Management who play a mix of contemporary and traditional folk songs and dances, interpreting 'folk' in its broadest sense.
And there are also plans for a newly formed band of allsorts who will be performing a chaotic jam session!
