Members of South Normanton Dramatic Society are taking part in this cabaret, both on stage and behind the scenes. It was a hugely entertaining production last year and this year it will be too. Come and see your local talent doing something a little different and have a superb night out with friends and family.

Have you ever fancied treading the boards or helping out behind the scenes?

Are you good at herding cats - otherwise known as keeping the actors under control?

Do you have creative vision and like to get the best out of people?

South Normanton Dramatic Society is looking for more cast members for our next pantomime Aladdin. No acting experience necessary- just enthusiasm and reliability.

If you are interested in creating props, backstage management and sound and lighting, then we’d love to have you.

We are also looking for an experienced Director for next year. But don’t wait to contact us if you are interested.

We meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:30. Small annual fee of £25 but then no ongoing weekly costs. Great value for a weekly hobby.

Tomorrow evening we are starting a read through of our panto for next year which will be Aladdin again after we had to cancel it this year.
We are now rehearsing at Pinxton Miners Welfare from 715-930. Looking forward to seeing everyone and getting the show started with a bang.

South Normanton Dramatic Society - SNDS is getting ready for our next pantomime and is looking for enthusiastic members to make the magic happen. Whether you want to tread the boards, work behind the scenes, direct and herd cats, there’s a place for you.

We need:

Performers aged 16+ - with or without experience, just with lots of enthusiasm

Prop makers - do you enjoy creating props that can be used on stage

Backstage crew - you are indispensable

Techie people for sound and lighting - are you a born button pusher or k**b twiddler?

Experienced Director - can you inspire and provide vision?

Just a reminder that unfortunately that pantomime won't be going ahead this year due to unforeseen circumstances. Please go to the place you bought the tickets from and they should be able to give you a refund. If you have any issues please contact us on Facebook.
Please remember you will need to bring your tickets as proof of purchase.

**Important update about this year’s pantomime**

After a lot of careful thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s pantomime.

This wasn’t a decision taken lightly — our pantos mean a great deal to us and to the community — but postponing now will allow us to come back with the quality, energy, and joy that you deserve.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us, cheered us on, and been part of our panto family over the years. 💛

We’re already looking ahead and will share more news as soon as we can. We hope you’ll be there when the curtain goes up again.

For those of you who have booked your tickets online, through Ticket Source, you will be refunded the ticket price as soon as possible. For those of you who have booked via the Post Mill or directly through a cast member, please bear with us as we try to refund you all directly. This may take a little more time.
