Friday evening saw Dunoon Burgh Hall's fab cafe space packed out for the Enterprise In Place event for International Women's Day. It was a privilege to MC - and hear from so many amazing enterprising women including the speakers: Ann from Dunoon Community Development Trust, Dinah from Bookpoint Dunoon, Ciorstan from Dunoon Presents and Hannah from The Pop Shop who organised the event.

Much as I love being based on the luscious Cowal Peninsula, it is always a delight to return to wonderful city highlights such as Òran Mór - and in particular the intimate Dan Mór where I also conducted my second ceremony... around 10 years and 200+ weddings ago! I had the honour of conducting this Vow renewal back in July for a truly beautiful, strong, warm-hearted couple - who had come all the way from Michigan in the USA. Well this was me home last night, lifting a glass to the phenomenal Pink Ladies of Argyll for whom I had the honour of MCing at their Gala Dinner. What an incredible effort went in to creating a stunning wonderland of a venue, delicious meal, incredible prizes and fab music from the legends that are Toast. What a location for this weekend's wedding. Truly, being a Celebrant is such a privilege; the people I meet, the stories they share, the places their Ceremonies take me. ✨️❤️
As well as marrying a beautiful couple, I also briefly swapped into my role as Third Sector Support Advisor as I had the opportunity to meet the lovely team behind Inspiring Inveraray who look after the Pier. Big shout out also to the excellent Kenny, the friendly Pier Caretaker from Argyll and Bute Council who was super helpful and really made a difference carrying my case and bag on a day that, unbeknownst to him, my shoulder was playing up. Human beings rock! ✨️👍
