When Crazy Diamond bring their spectacular Pink Floyd tribute show Shine Through The Years to St Michael’s Church on Friday 9th October, they’ll be doing more than giving us a brilliant evening of live music.

This concert is also raising money for Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, a charity that provides a vital lifesaving service across our region.

It’s a cause that means a great deal to the team behind Somerstock. The Air Ambulance can be called to some of the most serious emergencies, bringing specialist critical care directly to people when they need it most.

📢 FROM THE ORGANISERS OF SOMERSTOCK...

The Somerton Music & Arts Festival is bringing another fantastic Music at St Michael’s event to Somerton this October, with acclaimed Pink Floyd tribute act Crazy Diamond performing their Shine Through the Years show.

✨ Music at St Michael’s is organised by the same team behind Somerstock. These events not only bring great live music to Somerton throughout the year, they also help us to develop and grow Somerstock — keeping the festival strong, ambitious and affordable for our community.

🎸 Crazy Diamond are an eight-piece band known for their faithful performances of Pink Floyd’s best-loved songs, including Money, Time, The Great Gig in the Sky, Another Brick in the Wall and Comfortably Numb. Their Shine Through the Years show captures the atmosphere and emotion of Pink Floyd’s legendary live performances.

🐖 Whether you’re a lifelong Pink Floyd fan or discovering their music for the first time, this promises to be a brilliant evening in the stunning surroundings and amazing acoustics of St Michael’s Church.

There are so many wonderful people to thank for helping make Somerstock happen, and today we'd like to give a big shout-out to Adrian from On-Tap Water. 💙💧

A huge thank you for supplying the water across the festival site and helping to keep our volunteers, performers, traders and crew hydrated throughout the weekend.

It's one of those things that often goes unnoticed, but having a reliable water supply is absolutely essential to running a successful festival. Adrian's support, professionalism and willingness to help made a real difference, and we're incredibly grateful.

Thank you, Adrian, and everyone at On-Tap Water Treatment, for helping keep Somerstock flowing! 💦👏

A huge thank you to Paul and Jake for everything they did to keep Somerstock powered throughout the festival. ⚡👏

From the first day of the site build right through to the final act, they worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always on hand with a smile, a solution and a willingness to help, no matter what was needed.

The electrical infrastructure at a festival is something most people never think about, but without it, none of the magic happens. Their hard work, professionalism and calm approach played a huge part in making this year's Somerstock such a success.

We'd also like to thank their businesses, PC Electrics and Ham Hill Electrical Services, for their valued support of the festival.

This year we were delighted to welcome Haus Productions to the Somerstock team for the very first time, providing our sound and stage lighting – and what a fantastic job they did! 🎶💡

From the opening act to the final encore, the team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every performance looked and sounded its very best. Their professionalism, attention to detail and calm approach gave our artists everything they needed to put on great shows.

One of the nicest things for us was hearing so many of you comment on just how good the sound quality was this year. Those comments are a real testament to the expertise and hard work of the Haus Productions team, and we're so pleased their efforts were noticed and appreciated.

Festivals rely on talented people working behind the scenes, and Haus Productions played a huge part in helping us deliver the best Somerstock experience yet.

A huge thank you to everyone at Haus Productions. We loved working with you and hope this is the first of many Somerstock festivals together! 💙🎤✨

LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE KIDS!

One of our biggest successes this year was our expanded Kids' Zone – and it was wonderful to see so many children enjoying everything on offer throughout the day. 🎉

Thanks to the generous grant funding, we were able to provide a fantastic range of FREE activities for families, including:

🎈 A huge soft play area🛝 A giant inflatable slide🎨 Face painting✂️ Arts and crafts🫧 Amazing bubble displays from the Bubble Man🧚‍♀️ Magical entertainment from our stilt-walking fairy…and plenty more to keep young festival-goers smiling!

We believe Somerstock should be a festival that the whole family can enjoy, and seeing so many happy faces made all the hard work worthwhile.

A huge thank you to Somerset Community Foundation and Somerton Town Council for helping us make this possible. Your support enabled us to create a fun, welcoming space where children could enjoy a fantastic day at no extra cost to their families.

We can't wait to make the Kids' Zone even bigger and better next year! 💙
