Andrew Hopper will be giving a talk on: An Upside Down World: Objects from the Civil Wars.

Refreshments served from 7pm with the talk starting 7:30pm.

Art lovers are invited to visit the Society of Arts (SSA) Art Exhibition on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June at Community Centre.

Open from 10am to 4pm on both days, the exhibition will feature a diverse collection of original artwork created by talented local artists. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse a wide range of paintings and purchase unique pieces directly from the artists.

The exhibition promises a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, with refreshments available throughout the day and raffle prizes to be won.

A spokesperson said: “The SSA Art Section is a friendly group of painters who meet regularly in Solihull to share their passion for art, learn new techniques and develop their skills through a range of demonstrations, workshops and outdoor painting sessions.

“Part of the Solihull Society of Arts, one of the town’s longest-running arts organisations, the Art Section continues to support and encourage creativity within the local community.

“Admission is free and everyone is welcome.”

June is shaping up to be a busy one for SSA!
We've got the Art section's annual exhibition at Bentley Heath Community Centre, SOS-age Factory's summer concert, The History Circles joint meeting, not to mention auditions galore for SOS Solihull On Stage!
The music section are also running their regular sessions too!

Whatever you're interested in, we're sure theres something for you this month!

🌟 Summer Painting Days with the SSA Art Section 🌟

We are delighted to welcome you to our Summer Painting Days, a wonderful opportunity to enjoy painting outdoors with a group of friendly, likeminded people!

🎨 Friday 10th July – Sarehole Mill
🎨 Wednesday 9th September – Brueton Park

Arrival from 10:30am and paint through the afternoon.

We also have several additional painting sessions taking place in private gardens, which are available to members only.

Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply enjoy sketching and painting in the fresh air, we’d love to see you there. Bring your paints, a chair, and enjoy a relaxing day of creativity, sunshine, and good company.

Our drama section is looking for a choreographer🌟

🚨 PANTO CHOREOGRAPHER REQUIRED 🚨

We're looking for a Choreographer to join the Production Team for this year's pantomime, RED RIDING HOOD 🧣🌳🐺

This paid role is ideally suited to someone with experience teaching or working with children and is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring choreographer, dance student, or someone looking to build their portfolio. Experienced choreographers are of course very welcome to apply too!
