OUR FREE LISTENING PARTY IS 3 DAYS AWAY!🎧

In addition to our cohort's new audio dramas we have two brilliant support acts! Experience amazing live music from talented guitarist Josh Gallagher & get a bespoke on-demand poem crafted by the incredible poet Emily Holtom.

🌟Emily is a local poet, come share a word or memory with her and watch your poem come to life on a vintage typewriter. A bespoke, one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home and treasure!

🎸Josh is a classical guitarist and graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he developed a distinctive musical voice shaped by both contemporary and traditional repertoire. An active chamber musician, he’s performed with a variety of ensembles and brings his expressive playing and refined ensemble skills to our listening party!

Supported by the Audible Future Stories Fund, this project saw local young creatives collaborate with professional writers, street artists, directors and audio specialists over several weeks. Now this exhibition will showcase their incredible audio dramas that were inspired by the vibrant street art in Solihull.

The afternoon will be a vibrant, immersive celebration featuring live music, poetry and more! Including some light refreshments🌟

✨We're wrapping up our rewind with a final spotlight on "Edna's Marvellous Arts" from our community audio project - Walking with the Wise.

🎤Performed by Tom Crowhurst
Founding member of the award-winning theatre company Wildcard, Tom is also an actor, facilitator, teacher and creative enabler working across theatre and film. Tom’s recent credits include The Running Man (Complete Fiction/Paramount), Black Mirror - Loch Henry (Netflix), Sister Boniface Mysteries S2 (BritBox) and more.

✨Calathea Arts Rewind: Walking with the Wise 2024✨

Old Man was written by a participant from our community audio project - Walking with the Wise🌱

The project brought local voices from Ludlow to life, exploring memory, place and connection whilst reflecting on themes from Wise Women of: community, belonging and resilience.

🎤Performed by Sabrina Nabi
A Birmingham-based actor whose work spans theatre, touring and new writing. Recent credits include: Community (Birmingham Rep), Bruk Pocket Girl, Tree Shall Not Be Moved (Sky Comedy Rep) and more.

Here’s a glimpse of its debut at Ludlow Fringe, performed at Ludlow Old Cemetery. This Calathea Arts production then inspired our intergenerational community audio project - Walking with the Wise.

This project was made possible with support from Arts Council England, with special thanks to the Friends of St Leonard’s and Caitlin Doherty whose contributions were invaluable to bringing this story to life🌿🎭
