Solihull Creative Textiles We are a creative stitch group & welcome anyone with an interest in stitch, textiles & embroidery

We are an independent creative textile group and if you love stitch, embroidery, sewing, textiles and craft then we are the group for you. If you would like to find out more about our group, we welcome new members and visitors. You do not need to be an accomplished stitcher - just an interest in creative textiles and a desire to have some fun with like minded people. We meet up on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Solihull Methodist Church Hall. 7.30 - 9.30

We also hold monthly workshops on the 2nd Saturday of each month at Shirley Institute, Church Road, Shirley. Come along to one of our evening monthly meetings, check out our programme page, find us on Facebook, Instagram or email [email protected] for further details.

Our Autumn/Winter Programme got off to a really fabulous start when Bethany Hughes from Blue Coppice came to visit to tell us the story behind her imaginary country estate and an exploration of how a fragment of inspiration doodled in a sketchbook became a fully fledged counted thread embroidery. Bethany brought with her lots of examples of her very detailed and exquisite embroideries and samplers as you can see from the photos. She will be back with us in October to deliver a workshop on counted-thread embroidery. See our events events for details.
