Snaith & Cowick Drama Group We stage two pantomimes each year—a traditional show in January and a more offbeat production in the summer.

This is the place to stay up to date with all the latest news, events, and behind-the-scenes fun from the group. New members are always welcome so if you are interested in any area of performing arts from Acting to Admin, Singing to sewing, Dancing to Directing then come along and join us! Subs are £2.50 per week and we meet at The Snaith School every Thursday from 6:45pm till 9:15pm. It may be ad

visable to contact the group ahead of time as some meetings are held at other local rehearsal spaces.

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Irene, our resident photographer. Her work does more than document events — it shapes how we remember them. Irene Cooper shows up early, stays late, and finds beauty in the smallest details. Her photos bring warmth to our newsletters, personality to our socials, and soul to our archives. We’re delving back to take a look at some of our favourite moments from our last show- "Once Upon a Time". We’re absolutely delighted with the pictures- thank you IRENE COOPER 📸

All great things must come to an end, and I'm sure you will agree that this was a very touching end to our story. Fairy granted Eliza's wish to enable her to return home to her Granny, full of exciting tales of Pantoland... who would have guessed that 20 years ago Granny had her very own first adventure in a Fairy Tale Land, when she created Snaith and Cowick Drama Group, along with a few other local ladies.

We hope you enjoyed our pantomime and will join us again in January 2027 for our next adventure. Details will be shared very soon.

What fun we all had in Once Upon a Time ... An adventure in Pantoland; some of the cast just didn't want the fun to end, so they had a bit of fun singing "If I were not in Pantoland, something else I'd rather be..."! Can you remember what they all would like to be? I'm sure these photos will be a good reminder.

With Captain Hook defeated and banished from pantoland, and the reformed Dame Hyacinth Hook now the Captain of the pirate ship it must be almost time for a celebration.

.. what will happen next.... The girls encourage Eliza to find the hero inside herself and put some of her sword fighting skills to the ultimate test against Captain Hook. Yipee, she defeats him and all of her friends are released.

Despite their difficulty in reading a map, the girls actually find Fairy Fable, which is so exciting, until Captain Hook arrives and they realise that all of their pantoland friends are hostages ... what will happen next....

We’re delving back to take a look at some of our favourite moments from our last show- "Once Upon a Time". We’re absolutely delighted with the pictures- thank you IRENE COOPER 📸

It seems that Ches, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter and March Hare did NOT have any success with the map, although they did find the missing Dame Hyacinth - but now they are all lost in the scary woods ... which means it must be time for the "Ghost Gag", or in this case the "Pesky Pirates Gag". Another opportunity for some audience participation.
