Last Monday’s Resin Dipping Workshop at Slough Museum was a wonderful evening of creativity, colour, and craftsmanship.

Our eager learners were so inspired that many stayed on for an additional evening session, where they created a stunning garland display using their newly learned resin dipping techniques. From delicate petals to vibrant decorative pieces, everyone truly let their creative juices flow.

The museum was full of enthusiasm, imagination, and plenty of proud smiles as each participant brought their unique ideas to life. It was fantastic to see such beautiful work develop throughout the session — and the final garland display was absolutely beautiful.

Three incredible days of creativity, colour, and craftsmanship at our Epoxy & UV Resin Workshop at Slough Museum! ✨

Our talented participants explored the fascinating world of resin art and learned how to safely mix, pour, colour, layer, and finish both epoxy and UV resin techniques. From mastering bubble-free finishes to embedding decorative elements and creating stunning glossy effects, everyone developed new artistic skills and confidence throughout the workshop.

Over the three days, beautiful handmade creations came to life including clocks, coasters, bookmarks, keyrings, mosaics, and even stunning seashell resin pieces — each one completely unique and full of personality! 🕰️🎨🐚

A huge congratulations to everyone who attended. Your creativity, patience, and imagination made the workshop truly special, and the final pieces were absolutely amazing!

Over three inspiring days at Slough Museum, attendees immersed themselves in the intricate art of pyrography, transforming simple wooden surfaces into deeply personal works of art through heat, texture, and imagination.

The workshop introduced participants to the foundations of pyrography, including safe handling of wood-burning tools, temperature control, shading techniques, line work, and surface preparation. As confidence grew, attendees experimented with layering tones, creating detailed patterns, and combining traditional motifs with contemporary designs. From delicate botanical illustrations to bold abstract compositions, every piece reflected the individuality and creativity of its maker.

What made the workshop truly special was the atmosphere of exploration and encouragement. Participants shared ideas, developed their own artistic styles, and embraced the patience and precision that pyrography demands. By the final day, the room was filled with beautifully finished pieces that showcased not only technical progress, but also remarkable imagination and artistic confidence.

Slough Museum became a vibrant creative space where learning, craftsmanship, and self-expression came together — proving that with curiosity and creativity, even a simple piece of wood can become a work of art.
