Like many parents, summer brings a certain level of chaos and very little time for anything else or a “normal” routine. While I feel sad there isn’t a lot of time for painting, a lot of things have brought me joy.

We haven’t gone on holiday this summer, but enjoyed exploring our local area. Things like Mrs Smith’s Cottage are fabulous and it’s nice to find them and support them. We’ve also searched for free stuff to do together and it’s been amazing finding so much stuff can do without spending a penny.

So while I’m painting for an hour a day at the minute, I’m going to focus on GAINING inspiration from moments with my family until our routine comes back.

Day 4 of building my brand: business cards edition. Marketing is honestly so hard as an artist - I have zero education when it comes to marketing and I find it so hard. But I do know I should have business cards so people can find me. So today I spent some time building them.

6 months ago I had no idea who I was as an artist. I did landscapes, and while they were good, they were missing the story that connected them.

Now I found my identity, I know what I want my art to say and I’m on a mission to rebuild my brand and create a body of work that does that.

I use gold leaf to give life to my paintings, to make YOU feel the magic I do when I’m surrounded by nature and wildlife. Because ultimately my mission has never changed. I want you to fall in love with the British countryside through my art.

For a long time, I’ve been painting very nice one-off paintings, but they’ve lacked something that connects them. A theme if you will.
