Wonders of Our Universe

This isn't just a theatre show — it's a voyage through space and time like no other.

Guided by astrophysicist Ian Hall FRAS, Wonders of Our Universe takes audiences on an awe-inspiring journey from the explosive birth of the cosmos to humanity's first steps beyond our home planet.

Along the way, you'll uncover the secrets of black holes, witness the birth and death of stars, and explore the breathtaking beauty of distant galaxies.

Every moment is brought vividly to life with huge HD cinematic visuals, immersive sound and a soaring live soundtrack that transforms complex science into pure emotion.

Visually spectacular, scientifically rich and emotionally stirring, Wonders of Our Universe will change the way you see the night sky — and your place within it.

A Very Special Performance

Every performance of Wonders tells the story of our place in the universe. This one tells a story a little closer to home.

On Sunday 6th September 2026, we return to The Neverland Theatre in Skegness for a very special performance of Wonders of Our Universe, presented in memory of Ian's mother, Angela Hall, who sadly passed away on 28th January 2026.

The date is especially significant, as it would have been Angela's 78th birthday.

This is not a shortened version of the show or a separate charity production. It is the full touring performance of Wonders of Our Universe, presented exactly as audiences experience it in theatres across the UK. While the production is often performed in large theatres to audiences of many hundreds, this special evening is limited to just 94 guests, creating one of the most personal and intimate performances we have ever presented.

A Personal Note from Ian

"There are certain places that become part of your story, and for me, The Neverland Theatre will always be one of them.

Towards the end of 2025, shortly before my Mum passed away, the owner of the theatre, Gary Starr, quietly opened the doors of Neverland so that we could present a private performance of Wonders of Our Universe just for her. It became one of those moments our family and close friends will treasure forever.

Gary has been an incredible supporter of Wonders, but more importantly, he is someone I am immensely proud to call a personal friend. Without hesitation, he has once again opened his wonderful theatre to us, giving not only the venue itself, but also his time, his energy and his wholehearted support to help make this evening possible. Acts of kindness like that are incredibly rare, and I will always be deeply grateful to him.

Returning to that same stage on what would have been Mum's 78th birthday feels incredibly special. The evening isn't about saying goodbye. It's about celebrating her life, sharing the show that meant so much to her, and raising money for the ward whose staff cared for her with such compassion, dignity and kindness.

One of the things that makes the evening especially meaningful is that many of the nurses and healthcare professionals from The Bostonian Ward who cared for Mum will be joining us in the audience. They'll be experiencing the very show that brought her so much joy, in the theatre where she watched it for the final time. Being able to thank them in person, not simply with words but by supporting the ward they dedicate their lives to, is something that means more to me than I can adequately express.

I often say during Wonders that our greatest discoveries are not simply about understanding the universe, but about understanding ourselves. If this evening can celebrate Mum's life, help support families who will face the same journey that ours did, and bring a little wonder to everyone in the room, then I honestly can't think of a more fitting way to spend her birthday.

I hope you'll join us for what promises to be a truly unforgettable evening."
