ACCESSIBLE PARKING ARRANGEMENTS – ANDERBY ROCKS VIII

Following feedback received after Anderby Rocks VII, we have reviewed our arrangements for visitors with disabilities and limited mobility.

As many of you know, Anderby Rocks is a free community event organised entirely by local residents and volunteers. The event is held on privately owned land and, because of the layout of the site, there are practical limitations on the amount of parking that can be provided close to the event.

For safety reasons, public vehicles cannot be driven onto or parked within the festival field. Emergency access and pedestrian safety must always take priority.

To improve accessibility, we intend to offer the following options:

• Limited parking outside Anderby Village Hall

We hope to reserve up to five parking spaces outside the village hall for Blue Badge holders. These spaces are only a short distance from the event entrance. As numbers are limited, they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once these spaces are full, visitors will be directed to the designated accessible parking area within the main free car park.

• Accessible parking within the main free car park

A designated accessible parking area will be provided as close as reasonably possible to the entrance of the festival field, approximately 50–60 metres from the entrance.

• Passenger drop-off

Drivers are welcome to drop off passengers with limited mobility at the entrance to the lane leading to the event before proceeding to the main car park.

We appreciate that these arrangements may not meet every individual's requirements. However, they represent the closest and safest parking options that can reasonably be provided within the physical constraints of the site.

We hope visitors will understand that, as a volunteer-run community event held on a rural site, we must balance accessibility with the safety of everyone attending. We remain committed to making Anderby Rocks as welcoming and accessible as we reasonably can.

NICHOLSON AUDIO – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A huge thank you to Paul Nicholson of Nicholson Audio, who looked after the sound and PA for Anderby Rocks VII.

Paul did an absolutely outstanding job from start to finish. With a full programme of performers, different bands, constant changeovers and a large outdoor audience, getting the sound right throughout the day was no small undertaking. Paul handled it all with professionalism, patience and complete confidence.

The sound across the field was superb, every act was given the attention they deserved, and Paul remained calm and helpful no matter what was happening around him. He is not only extremely knowledgeable and dependable, but also a genuinely lovely bloke who became an important part of the Anderby Rocks team.

For live bands, solo performers, festivals, theatre productions, private events or any occasion requiring professional sound and PA equipment, we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Nicholson Audio.

ANDERBY ROCKS VII – THANK YOU & ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Well... another Anderby Rocks has come to an end.

Before the dust settles and we all catch our breath, we simply want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Anderby Rocks VII such a fantastic day.

Events like this do not simply appear in a field. They are the result of months of planning, hard work and the incredible generosity of local people, businesses, organisations, performers and volunteers who all pull together to make something special happen.

Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who came along.

Whether you enjoyed the music, bought a drink from the bar, tucked into something from the barbecue, treated yourself to refreshments, bought raffle tickets, had a go at Bell Target Shooting or simply came along to enjoy the atmosphere with family and friends... thank you.

Every drink poured, every burger served and every raffle ticket sold helps us continue supporting the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, while keeping Anderby Rocks a completely FREE family music festival.

Throughout the day they introduced countless visitors to Bell Target Shooting, one of the country’s fastest-growing pastimes for people of all ages and genders.
