Swimming lessons do far more than teach children how to swim — they help build confidence, awareness and vital lifesaving skills that stay with them for life.

At Magna Vitae, our WaterWise swimming lessons support swimmers of all ages and abilities, from babies and toddlers right through to adults, helping everyone feel safer and more confident in the water.

Lessons teach essential skills including:
✅ Floating and treading water
✅ Safe entry and exit techniques
✅ Water confidence and awareness
✅ Personal survival skills
✅ How to stay calm in an emergency

Living in a coastal community, learning to swim is an especially important life skill and helps children enjoy water safely and responsibly.

Plus, WaterWise members also receive FREE unlimited general swimming across all Magna Vitae venues, helping swimmers practise and build confidence outside of lessons too.

People in difficulty are often unable to shout or wave for help, making supervision and awareness incredibly important.

If you’re around water this summer:
✅ Stay alert
✅ Supervise children closely

🔧 Our team have been busy replacing damaged and missing locker wristbands across the centre!

We've introduced bright new colours to make things easier for everyone: 💚 Green 💛 Yellow 💙 Blue – for our Village Changing Areas ❤️ Red – for our Accessible Changing Area and Fitness Suite.

The new colourful bands are replacing worn and missing wristbands, helping to keep our lockers organised and making it easier for customers to identify the correct changing areas.

A big thank you to the team for their hard work in getting everything refreshed and ready for our customers! 👏
Keep an eye out for the new colourful bands on your next visit!
