Hey everyone,
Sorry it’s not a tattoo post but this is just something a little more personal to me and my family.
My 8yr old nephew Harvey was diagnosed Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) — a rare, lifelong immune disorder that stops his body from fighting off infections.
For children like Harvey, even everyday germs can become dangerous. CGD causes the immune system to malfunction, leaving him vulnerable to repeated, serious infections and inflammation that can affect organs throughout the body.
After years of illness, hospital stays, and treatments, Harvey’s medical team has recommended the only treatment that offers him a chance at a long, healthy future:
A bone marrow transplant.
Without going into much detail this is a painful high risk high reward procedure, that could not only help keep my nephew alive but also let him thrive.
The go.fund me page is just to help keep my brothers family afloat while they are back and forth from the hospital and home for the next couple of months as my brother is self employed and CGD is such a rare disease there is no official form of financial support out there.
Whatever anyone can spare, even just well wishes would be appreciated. We would just like to take a small amount of pressure off my brother’s not so little family (6 kids) while they are going through this hardship.
