Shrewsbury Sarah I’ve always loved promoting Shrewsbury & it’s businesses when i ran the B&B but I’ve now made it My Business💚🌸 Prices start from £50.

I have run a B&B for 16 years in Shrewsbury and enjoyed promoting the town and its businesses for free on social media. Back in March 2023 I knew I would be leaving the B&B world and wanted another way of earning an income so I set up Shrewsbury Sarah to focus on building a business in Promotion. I promote all sorts of businesses, exhibitions, workshops on social media. I hold network events my ne

From not being familiar with Shropshire at all, after a trip on the Sabrina Boat 4 years ago admiring the Quarry and enjoying the feel the town gave her, Nadeen decided to move to Shrewsbury and thanks to the fabulous Facebook group For the love of Shrewsbury, she made a couple of really good friends who were also new to the town.
Nadeen is a mortgage broker and last year set up her own business Rosewood Hall Ltd
https://www.rosewoodhall.co.uk/ after 25 years working in the industry in London most of her clients come from referrals, people come back to her when they move again or remortgage it’s all very much word of mouth but what Nadeen doesn’t have yet are any Shrewsbury Clients so she has come to me to help put her name out there.
She has a lovely relaxed & flexible approach with people, she truly loves her job and genuinely cares and wants to get the best deal for you, she’s very successful when it’s a bit tricky, maybe self employment, not been in the uk long, moved jobs recently, on maternity leave etc etc and is always able to get hold of via WhatsApp or email.
Also can arrange life cover and income protection 💚

Not many independent businesses can boast being on the high street for over 150 years, but Majors in Shrewsbury has been in business through both world wars, can you believe they made officers uniforms & trench coats that would have been worn by footmen all over Europe.

Their “about us” section on their website has some beautiful nostalgic images of their various old Shrewsbury shopfronts & family members, it’s well worth scrolling through, most interesting is the write up of the family history with the business and how it’s evolved over the years, from Top hats to tailoring quality suits and mayoral robes.

Today the business sells high quality men’s & Ladieswear their loyal friendly staff pride themselves on their customer service and knowing customers names, Jason the menswear manager has worked at Majors over twenty plus years and Alison the ladies wear manager 11 years I couldn’t twist their arms to be photographed but thankfully owner Doug Major was keen.

I recently met with Doug, he’s the 5th generation of Majors working with his mother Rose, sadly I didn’t get to meet Rose who’s the buyer for the stylish ladies department selling not just beautiful clothes but bags, hats, shoes, belts & jewellery up stairs in Claremont Street. They have just had a 20% off selected Ladieswear which ends April 17th.

Majors is now in Oswestry & Welshpool with their partner store Parker Taylor in Bridgnorth they all stock different brands giving diversity to the 4 stores.

Stewart Bates from Clear Cut Creative has recently approached me to help shout about his generous offer of helping to support local businesses in Shropshire, with a FREE website rebuild.
I helped promote his partners Ballet School - Miss Jamie Ballet back in December on here and instagram so it was lovely to think I’ve been recommended.

Times are tough for a lot of small businesses at the moment and Stewart speaks to business owners every week who are doing great work, but their website just doesn’t reflect it or bring in the enquiries it should.

So Stewart and his team are doing something simple.

Each week, they will choose one local Shropshire business and rebuilding their website.

There’s no cost for the website itself.
The only ongoing cost is basic hosting.

This is aimed at:
• Established businesses (not new ideas)
• Based in Shropshire
• With 5 employees or fewer
• Who need online support or have an outdated website

Obviously they can’t do this for everyone, they are only a small team themselves , but will review applications and select one business each week.

If this would genuinely help your business, you can apply here https://clearcut-creative.com/

Just fill in your contact details and in the message section, let us know:
• what your business does
• why this would make a real difference to you

Everything shared is treated as completely confidential.

They will be reviewing applications next week for the first build, and will keep this going week by week, supporting as many local businesses as they can along the way.

Firstly apologies for the April Fool yesterday 🤡 of course Rowley’s House is NOT getting demolished.
So I thought I’d give you an idea of who I’ve been promoting over on my Instagram account for the first quarter of the year. If you would like to be one of my clients and have your business shouted about over there or here, do message me and we can arrange a chat.💚

My March project has come to an end, 4 Thursdays sat in different parts of the town at lunch time then off to take photos to share on here and my Instagram account.
Last week the 26th I started in the square was fun to be met by a giant Easter Bunny even though it was very overcast.
This had given me a great selection of Shrewsbury images to drip feed onto my Instagram account. I love shouting about the town and its diverse businesses.
thought for my next post on here I’d show who I’ve promoted during the first 3 months of the year, it includes a sandwich shop, artist, photographer and accountants, as well as a restaurant and natural health centre and a few more💚

Another Thursday in March strolling around Shrewsbury taking photos. It was lovely to be joined by Laura from EweMove Estate Agents in Shrewsbury we wandered around the di**le in the glorious sunshine this afternoon chatting none stop. I was thrilled when she messaged me on Instagram to say she’d be joining me this week I wonder if anyone will join me next Thursday the 26th I’ll be in the square under the clock at 12.30.
When I was at featherbed lane junior school you were sent under the clock for being naughty it was in the school corridor at the foot of the steps leading to the headmasters office … I was often there for talking in class.
This March project of mine has been about sharing photos to promote Shrewsbury this will fit in nicely for Laura’s new business for her to share images on her new social media FB & Instagram accounts.
I’m so chuffed, she also said she’d like me to promote her on here so I’m meeting up with her and her husband Alex after Easter to learn all about their new exciting adventure into selling property.💚 was no surprise as we mooched around town we found ourselves photographing some beautiful houses along with what makes Shrewsbury so appealing to live here💚

Meet the lovely Sevil Ismail she recently opened her photographic studio in Frankwell Pure Studio Shrewsbury just over the Welsh Bridge with a great view looking back at the town. She contacted me over on my Instagram account and asked if I could help promote her new business.
Sevil can beautifully capture your pregnancy, new born baby, children’s birthdays your pets, family or a professional business headshot all at her studio or if you prefer she’s very happy to arrange an outdoor shoot. Her website has more information.
Sevil is Turkish, you may recognise her if you’ve been to the Turkish restaurant in Frankwell İstanbul bbq house Shrewsbury as she has been a waitress there for the past 5 years, the customers love her as she is so kind & friendly.
Sevil creates beautiful albums, I enjoyed sitting in her studio with a Turkish tea, flicking through examples of her work, she’s really excited about developing her business and growing her client base so do get touch if you have some ideas for your own family/lifestyle photo shoot she’d be delighted to help and invite you to her studio.
If you’ve not booked a photographer yet for your up & coming wedding maybe go and meet her she’s really lovely 💚

You are so welcome to join me in my March project.
of lunch outside on a Thursday & a stroll to take photos in our lunch break.
I’m sharing my photos on here and over on my Instagram account.
Today was week 2, I started in Old St Chads Gardens, last week was the Castle grounds, I remembered from when I created my Shrewsbury treasure hunts a few years ago there was a bell up high and some carved timber near by that fascinated me as I found the same carved piece on the roof of one of the shuts not far away so was keen to photograph them and share them here.
Next week the 19th I will be in the Quarry on a bench 12.30 just by the blue gates if you fancy some fresh air in your lunch break💚

I do love a project to work on and through March each Thursday I’m going into town and your very welcome to join me.
The plan is (fingers crossed for no rain) in our lunch break we sit and enjoy our surroundings with our lunch then I’ll lead a little tour to take a stroll to photograph what captures our eye, could be some architecture, shop front, people, faces, flowers, doorways who knows. I will be sharing my photos on here each Thursday as I did last week when I started in the castle grounds.
This week the 12th, I be in Old St Chads garden at 12.30 then on the 19th I will be on the bench just inside the blue gates of the quarry opposite St Chads. 26th yet to be decided.
I love having Shrewsbury images in my phone to share over on my Instagram account so this is a nice way of collecting some and promoting Shrewsbury on here and giving a free shout out to those I meet on the day. 💚
