A quick heads-up for anyone heading into town this evening.

Road closures will be in place Monday–Thursday, 8pm–6am while works continue around the station area near to Buttermarket .

🚗 Allow extra time for your journey.
🚕 Expect diversions.
🚶 Plan ahead if you're travelling into town.

A quick heads-up for anyone planning to head into town on Sunday 5th July 2026.

The annual Shrewsbury 10K starts from The Quarry at 9:00am, with road closures around the town centre from approximately 8:30am until midday.

🚧 Expect delays and allow a little extra time for your journey.

🎸🤘 What a fantastic afternoon of live music at The Buttermarket with School of Rock, performed by the incredibly talented young musicians from Teachers Pet Rock Show UK!

From classic rock anthems to modern favourites, the standard of musicianship on display was outstanding. It’s always inspiring to see young performers playing with such confidence, energy and passion, and today’s show proved that the future of live music is in very safe hands.

A big shout-out too to support act Fear The Reckoning ,The Reckoning, who kicked things off in style with a powerful set that got the crowd warmed up and ready for an afternoon of rock.

The dedication of the students, tutors and everyone involved at Teachers Pet UK was evident throughout the performance.

Every band member should be extremely proud of themselves for putting on such an entertaining and professional show.

Well done to all involved - a brilliant showcase of young musical talent and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon from start to finish! 🎶👏🎤🎸

☀️🪩 What a fantastic afternoon and evening at The Buttermarket for the Over Thirty Club Day Party yesterday! 🪩☀️

From the moment the doors opened, the venue was alive with great music, vibrant lighting and an incredible atmosphere.

The Main Arena was packed with people dancing to classic anthems, while the Flamingo Terrace Bar & Roof Garden provided the perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine, refreshments and summer vibes.

The energy throughout the day was infectious, with a brilliant crowd, plenty of smiles and a dancefloor full from start to finish. It was the ideal combination of daytime clubbing, outdoor socialising and feel-good entertainment.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a memorable event.
