We've had some T-shirts made and are giving a percentage of the profits to Severn Hospice - our chosen charity for this year. This means that every ticket that is sold, we will give a percentage to Severn Hospice. If you can't make it to the festival, how about buying a T-shirt to show your support?

Here is some more about Severn Hospice:

Severn Hospice gives specialist care and support free of charge to families across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who are living with an incurable illness.

They support families through the good days and bad days because they believe that when cure is no longer possible, care is. Since 1989, they have given free care and support to more than 50,000 people and their loved ones during their time of greatest need. They now help around 3,000 local people every year.

The hospice is part of health services offered to people living in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales but they are not part of the NHS. They are a completely independent charity, having to raise around two-thirds of the running costs. You can get one here: https://sicfest.sumupstore.com

Samantha Day will be joining us at Morris Hall on Thursday 9th July at 8pm for her WIP show.
What should you do when it’s clear that you’ve chosen the wrong partner, or the wrong job? Stop and think about it? Change direction? Of course not! Talk yourself into it – you’re not a pathetic quitter.

Don’t get distracted by red flags in relationships or emails from HR – believe in yourself! Samantha masterminds a stand up comedy show in celebration of all the fabulous ‘can do’ people who just want to get on with cocking things up without being interrupted.

A Political Brunch is a light hearted panel show best described as Have I Got News For You meets Question Time.

The panel’s focus is on fun and some satire which has been chaired by Chris O’Neill over a hundred times. There will also be audience involvement with the chance to have the panel’s take, as well as chat about a current news story, usually trivial and of limited importance because there is enough doom and gloom.

The show has been a returning popular success at Leicester, Buxton Edinburgh and Nottingham comedy festivals for many years.

🌮😂 COMEDY TAPAS IS BACK! 😂🌮
Why settle for one comedian when you can sample a whole menu?
Comedy Tapas is one of the most popular shows at the Shrewsbury International Comedy Festival, serving up a delicious selection of comedians, each delivering bite-sized sets packed with laughs. Think of it as the comedy equivalent of small plates... a little taste of everything, and every course is a surprise!
You never know who might take the stage. You never know what style of comedy you'll get. Stand-up, storytelling, one-liners, outrageous observations, future stars, seasoned pros... every show is different, and that's exactly what makes it so exciting.
If you're the kind of person who loves discovering new acts and wants maximum laughs for your ticket, this is the show for you.

Hi all.

We've chosen the fabulous Severn Hospice as our designated charity for this year’s event.

Money donated will support the organisation’s mission to provide the highest standards of specialist palliative and specialist end-of-life care through a range of services, whether at its two hospice locations in Shropshire or at an individual’s home.

SICFest director Beth McGowan, said: “This is the second time we have chosen Severn Hospice. The at-home team supported our family and cared for my father so well in his final weeks and recently looked after a friend before her passing. It made sense once again to support such a fantastic organisation, which touches so many people’s lives in Shropshire. The SICFest donation will be based on ticket sales and there will also be an opportunity for audiences to make a personal contribution at all the festival performances.”

Professor Derek Willis, medical director at Severn Hospice, said: “We need to raise £2 for every £3 we spend, so support and donations from our local community are paramount to our caring services. Raising money through having a laugh at the brilliant comedy festival is to me, a perfect combination. Many thanks to SICFest for choosing us once again. Roll on July, for some fun!
