Tomorrow's the day! Music at the Gateway returns with the Leonhard String Quartet, this year's Next Generation Platform artists. Four students from the Royal College of Music in London will bring youthful vigour and freshness to three of the repertoire's core repertoire, plus a little played but delightful miniature by the youthful Webern. Haydn Op 77 No 1 and Beethoven Op 18 No 5 make up the first half. After the interval (wine and nibbles which are included in the ticket price) the Webern Langsamer Satz will be followed by Mendelssohn's Quartet in F minor Op 80.
