People often ask me what the hardest part of building a community and running a festival is.

Most people expect the answer to be the long hours, the stress, the finances, or the responsibility.

But for me, it's something else.

It's the pain and suffering I see people going through.

Over the years, our network has grown into something truly special. With that comes the privilege of meeting thousands of people, hearing their stories, sharing their highs, and sometimes walking alongside them through their darkest moments.

When you genuinely care about people, you carry a little piece of that with you. Their struggles affect you. Their heartbreak affects you. Their losses affect you.

But it also reminds you why community matters.

Claire is one of our Vanlife family members. Just one of the many incredible people who make this community what it is.

Today, we're thinking of Claire and sending her all our love, strength and support.

Because Vanlife Festival has never just been about vans, camping or music.

It's always been about people.

The cinema experience is being hosted by TiPi Eco Media Hub, our solar-powered cinema and sound experience, and the cost of the screening is already included in your event ticket price – just another reason why Vanlife Unplugged offers fantastic value for money.

It's a fair question, and here's the reality.

The £150 ticket isn't priced per person – it's priced per pitch and vehicle.

Whether you arrive with one person or two adults in your campervan, the costs to put on the event remain exactly the same. We still have to provide:

✅ Toilets and Waste Management
✅ Live Music and Entertainment
✅ Outdoor Movie Night
✅ Silent Disco
✅ Children's Activities
✅ Campfires and Communal Areas

✅ Event Infrastructure, Staffing and Insurance

For a solo traveller, £150 works out at just £37.50 per night for four nights away, with entertainment and activities included.

Many people spend more than that on a basic campsite before paying for any entertainment, attractions or evening activities.

Vanlife Unplugged is also about more than just camping. It's about joining a community. Some of the strongest friendships in vanlife have started with somebody arriving on their own and leaving with dozens of new friends.

If you're a solo traveller, you won't be the only one. In fact, some of the people who get the most value from these gatherings are those who arrive alone and become part of something special for a few days.

For us, keeping the event simple and affordable for everyone was important. Rather than creating lots of different ticket tiers, we've kept it straightforward.

This is your opportunity to sit around the campfire with the founders of Vanlife Festival and experience where our journey began. It's also your opportunity to get involved in our next venture. We are always open to ideas and always looking for great people who may want to become part of the team going forward.

We just wanted to take a moment to explain exactly what Vanlife Unplugged is... and what it isn't.

This is NOT a festival.

There won't be huge stages, packed schedules, or thousands of people. Instead, this is a small gathering created for those who simply enjoy being around like-minded people, sharing stories, relaxing around a campfire, listening to some music, and enjoying the vanlife community at a slower pace.

Vanlife Unplugged is an opportunity to come and camp alongside the founders of Vanlife Festival and spend a chilled, relaxed weekend together in a beautiful venue with excellent on-site facilities and plenty to see and do.

We're deliberately keeping this gathering small and intimate. We don't want to oversell it or create expectations of something it's not. The whole idea is to get back to basics and enjoy good company in a fantastic setting.

What excites us most is the potential. This venue offers some amazing opportunities, and while this is very much a first step, it could be the beginning of something special for the future.

So if the idea of a relaxed weekend, good people, a few simple pleasures, and being part of something from the very beginning appeals to you, we'd love to see you there.
