Mervyn, originally an art teacher who relocated to Shoreham in '76, found his musical calling in 'Uncle Johns Band.' Starting with violin and later embracing his true passion for guitar, he's now part of the dynamic ensemble "Alfonso the Magnificent." You can experience his captivating performance at Ropetackle Arts Centre on September 15th!)

From teaching art to mesmerizing audiences, Mervyn's musical odyssey has taken him far. With a fusion of violin and guitar skills, he creates captivating melodies.

🌟 Songs For Shoreham ~ Performer Spotlight on Mike Reinstein 🌟

Mike has been writing and performing songs throughout his adult life. He currently boasts three critically acclaimed albums: "More To Be Revealed," "A Long March Home," and "Acts Of Love." An upcoming album is set to release in 2023.

For the past 25 years, he has taught music to primary age and special needs children. In addition to his music for adult audiences, Mike has penned numerous songs for children, many of which are featured on albums like "The Tommy Tomato Songbook," "The Blewdle," "Wobbly Tooth," and "The Cat Asked Everyone To Tea, Except Me."

🌟 Songs For Shoreham ~ Performer Spotlight on Reina James-Reinstein 🌟

Reina, daughter of actor Sid James, started her musical career when she was five playing the ukulele, then became a singer, songwriter and pianist in folk and rock bands in the 60s and 70s. After some years working as an actor and musician in theatre, she changed tack and became a writer. Her first novel, 'This Time Of Dying' won The Society Of Authors' McKitterick prize. She followed this with The Old Joke, both published by Portobello Books. She's just finished writing her latest novel, the story of her father's childhood, and still loves to sing with Mike, contributing keyboards and vocal arrangements to his albums.
