A while ago I posted a version of this, my first use of acrylic painting The more I looked at it l became convinced that the foreground needed a radical change. I went back to my sketches and used them as a basis to repaint the whole foreground area. I also made some small changes to the painting as a whole using mixed media. I also added a few small seagulls because what seascape isn’t improved by seagulls. I am now much happier with the result. I nearly didn’t post it though as the image taken on my iPhone doesn’t really do it justice. It’s Also quite a large piece, at least for me at 50cm (20 inches approximately) x 30cm (12 inches approximately)

Some time ago I posted a shorter version of this video in which I left out quite a lot of footage for the sake of brevity. Having recently acquired Adobe Premiere I revisited it adding most of the left out parts. Premiere allows me to speed it up considerably more than the first video so still keeping it as a short watch. Unfortunately I did not record the painting of the first background layer. An insight into the process of painting these oil paintings and has encouraged me to record another painting.

These three off to a new home. I don’t usually sell my prints framed - they are too difficult to ship. I also don’t usually sell them in threes. But client wanted to display them as a trio so who am I to argue. I think they will look great on her wall.
