Whilst I know it’s not Bradford City, this is a Dunfermline Athletic commission I did for a client and collector of my work, who’s now become a lifelong friend.

Fact is I was asked to paint in the Lowry colour palette by a client and it really got my juices flowing so I painted away and these are the results.

Lowry didn’t paint what was actually in front of him, he painted what he saw in his minds eye. I’ve done pretty much the same since I started painting unless it’s something I’d like to portray in more realism.

It’s called art and you know what? “It’s fun”
