‘Who’s there?’

✨ Just finished my latest piece, a red squirrel in soft pastel on 30 × 40 cm Pastelmat.

I loved capturing all the little details, from the fluff of the tail to the texture of the bark – such a joy to bring one of our most treasured woodland animals to life on paper 🍄

I designed the belly bands on Procreate and printed on 112gsm acid free A4 tracing paper.

‘Human of the forest’

Work in progress of this beautiful lady 🦧

I’ve spent so long with her at the easel, she’s starting to feel like an old friend.

Orangutans are so much like us — just look at that expression!
We share around 97% of the same DNA 🧬

But unlike us, they’re critically endangered, mainly because of deforestation and illegal hunting…by humans.

This needs to change.
