September is officially underway, which means one thing in this house… the autumn decor is coming out 🍂🎃✨

I always end up adding a few new bits each year, and I absolutely could not resist this gorgeous sparkly velvet pumpkin from Hobbycraft the other day. I mean… look at her. She practically jumped into my basket. 😂

September also means cosy blankets, candles, hot chocolate and rewatching my favourite Halloween film, Hocus Pocus 🕯️🖤 So of course I had to create a special little keepsake inspired by Thackery Binx.

Inside is a little black cat carved from obsidian — a stone often associated with protection and grounding — nestled into his own magical tin. 🐈‍⬛✨

And yes, I basically have my own Binx at home… although mine is called Rosie and, much like most cats, she definitely believes she runs the place. 😂🖤

From teeny tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies 🐛🦋✨

We’ve absolutely loved watching our little Painted Ladies grow, change and finally spread their wings.

We each got to name one, so please meet… Sassy, Cassie, Cecil, The Lord of All Things and Audrey 😂🦋

Mine was Cassie 💕

There were plenty of funny little butterfly jiggles along the way, and Maddy was so excited when it was finally time to set them free. 🥹

Such a lovely little summer memory to keep.

A few weeks ago, a rather unusual little parcel arrived through our letterbox…📦 🐛

Inside were five tiny Painted Lady caterpillars, and over the next few weeks we watched them grow, change, form their chrysalises and finally emerge as the most beautiful butterflies. 🦋

It was honestly such a lovely thing to watch — from tiny wriggly caterpillars to five butterflies fluttering around ready to be released into the world. ✨

And somewhere along the way, that little transformation planted an idea…

Because apparently I can’t experience anything remotely magical without eventually thinking, “Ooh… I could make something inspired by this.” 😂🦋

So here she is — my latest butterfly brooch, inspired by our Painted Ladies and their rather wonderful journey. 🩷
A little reminder of transformation, new beginnings and the magic hiding in ordinary moments.

Just look at this ridiculously tiny little face!! 😭

The newest Pocket Pet has waddled into The Lost Attic and this time it’s a teeny Baby Flamingo 🌸✨

Each little flamingo comes tucked inside its own keepsake tin, nestled amongst pastel paper and ready to become a tiny friend to take on adventures, keep beside the bed or simply treasure. 🩷

And yes… there is only ONE flamingo inside each tin — the rest of the flock were apparently required for the photoshoot. Divas. 😂🦩🦩🦩

Perfect as a little birthday surprise, stocking filler, friendship gift or just because somebody needs a tiny pink flamingo in their life.

Say hello to Bubblegum Butterflies 🦋🩷

A little bit sweet, a little bit witchy and very, very pink.
My latest hand-painted vase combines bubblegum pink with turquoise butterflies, tiny stars, botanical details and a crescent moon — finished off here with black roses because apparently subtlety wasn’t invited. 🖤😂

Each vase I paint is completely unique, so there will only ever be one exactly like this one.

I took this little fairy door along on our North Wales holiday earlier this month, when the summer holidays had only just begun… 🌿✨

And somehow here we are at the end of August, with September turning up next week like it hasn’t absolutely flown by. 😂

This little one is Heartwood Hollow 💗 — covered in tiny hearts and tucked into the most perfect mossy tree I could possibly have found.

I think she looked rather at home there. 🍃🧚‍♀️
